Full Service

AGS recommend that a Full Service should be carried out every 12,000 miles or every 12 months. The Full Service covers 65 checks.

AN AGS comprehensive Full Service includes the following checks:

STAGE 1: Road Test

  1. Check the clutch operation for any clutch drag, clutch slip, clutch judder or noise and adjust as necessary
  2. For Diesels, carry out a visual check for exhaust smoke

STAGE 2: Vehicle On Floor

  1. Check ABS warning light operation (if applicable)
  2. Check Brake Servo Operation
  3. Check Interior / Exterior mirror condition.
  4. Check front and rear Seatbelts inc lap belt (excludes child seats if fitted) and report
  5. Check number plate integrity and security
  6. Check windscreen for chips, cracks and defects
  7. Check windscreen wiper condition and operation
  8. Check rear wiper condition and operation
  9. Check windscreen washer during operation and top up washer fluid if required
  10. Check operation of exterior lights such as, brake lights, sidelights and indicators
  11. Check horn operatiob
  12. Check fuel cap and fuel cap seal
  13. Check integrity and tension of fanbelt and alternator belt
  14. Check integrity and tension of auxiliary belts (excludes timing/cam belt)
  15. Visually inspect expansion bottle or tank for integrity, leaks and cap security
  16. Visually check integrity of radiator cap
  17. Check and record antifreeze strength, minimum temperature and top up coolant level if required
  18. Check operation of electric cooling fan
  19. Check Diesel heater plug indicator operation (if applicable)
  20. Carry out a visual inspection of the HT leads
  21. Check the external integrity of either the distributor cap or coil pack, whichever is applicable
  22. Check battery security and lubricate battery terminals
  23. Top up battery electrolyte for non-sealed batteries
  24. Check and top-up power steering reservoir (if applicable)
  25. Check level of Brake Fluid & Top Up if necessary
  26. Check & Top up clutch fluid

STAGE 3: Vehicle On Ramp

  1. Check and report wheel alignment and/or suspension geometry
  2. Check radiator integrity where visible and report any leaks
  3. Check coolant hoses where visible for leaks, condition and report findings
  4. Inspect exhaust system including the catalyst (if fitted) for leaks, security and noise
  5. Check visual integrity of fuel lines
  6. Check propshaft, drive shafts and joints. Grease nipples where fitted
  7. Check shock absorber integrity and report on any leaks of note
  8. Check wheel bearings for excessive play or noises
  9. Check steering rack gaiters integrity
  10. Check for general oil leaks. Report any leaks of note
  11. Remove Road wheels
  12. Check tyre size and fitted tyre in accordance to side wall instructions
  13. Check tyre integrity (including spare), tread depth and complete tyre report form
  14. Check and adjust tyre pressures to recommended settings – including spare
  15. Check wheels for correct balance (including spare if present)
  16. Check brake pads for wear, damage or fluid residue
  17. Check Brake discs or drums for wear, cracks, corrosion, scoring, pitting and general integrity
  18. Check brake calipers for integrity, leaks and security
  19. Check foot brake shoes for wear or damage
  20. Inspect operation and integrity of wheel cylinders and report any leaks or defects
  21. Visual check of brake hydraulic system, pipes and hoses for any leaks, chafing, pinching and corrosion where visible
  22. Check fixings and travel of handbrake linkages. Lubricate and adjust if necessary
  23. Check steering and suspension components for general wear and tear and corrosion
  24. Grease steering and suspension and grease nipples (where applicable)
  25. Check drive shaft gaiters for security, integrity and report leaks and holes

STAGE 4: Service Tasks

  1. Engine oil change. Drain and refill engine oil
  2. Replace oil filter
  3. Replace Air Filter
  4. Test brake fluid boiling point (if applicable)
  5. Lubricate accessible door hinges for ease of operation
  6. Lubricate bonnet catch for ease of operation
  7.  Set wheel nut torque to manufacturer’s recommended settings

STAGE 5: Scheduled Service Tasks

  1. Check replacement of timing belt interval & report if mileage or age is exceeded*
  2. Check replacement of Pollen Filter interval and report if mileage or age is exceeded
  3. Report if Spark Plugs are due for replacement according to mileage or age
  4. Reset the vehicle service light (if applicable)**subject to data & tooling availability
  5. Stamp service book

STAGE 6: Road Test

  1. Road test
