Ford Transit – Fabrication of Driver’s Step and Sills, and Replacement of Leaf Springs
Still a firm favourite of tradesmen across the realm, but unfortunately Ford Transits do suffer from rust a little – more than some.
This particular Ford Transit was booked in after we highlighted problems discovered while AGS were carrying out an annual service on the van.
The driver’s side step was replaced along with inner and outer sills. Initially, it seemed like a massive job but in fact, turned out to be a pretty much a run-of-the-mill job for our fabricator guru, Russ.
The Transit fabrication and repair job was turned out in 1 day along with changing the rear leaf springs. The springs were changed as they are starting to crack around the front bushings.
